Dance and psychology are equally part of my life, which makes me want to include a connection between art and science in my work. Coming from chaos theory, there is a concept which interests me in particular: the butterfly effect. It is a phenomenon of nonlinear dynamics and will be the focus of my solo research. The effect occurs in nonlinear dynamical systems. It manifests itself by the fact that it is unpredictable how arbitrarily small changes in the initial conditions of the system will affect its evolution in the long run. In contrast to the snowball effect, this is a matter of the unpredictability of the long-term effects. An explanation of how chaos arises in the world. This phenomenon has been taken up in fiction, movies, video games and series. I would like to deal with this topic artistically.
How does the effect work transferred to the movement of the body and the spread in space? What effect do thought processes have on the body and vice versa? This process includes both literature research and exploration within the solo dance work.
Workshop
Dancing is a universal and individual language. The aim of the workshop is to communicate with yourself and with others through movement. There are NO prerequisites, except curiosity to try something new to try something new or to experience something familiar in a new way. This workshop is for all those who want to move in harmony with music, their own senses and the space in which we will find ourselves. Even small events can have a big impact. Just as a small movement great freedom and a small togetherness can create great connection. can.

Sophie Hauenherm works as a freelance dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. She completed her training at the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden. Half a year before completing this, she was diagnosed with incomplete paraplegia. Despite this, she decided to continue a life with dance and choreographed her bachelor thesis "Behind human understanding" in a wheelchair in 2018. Engagements followed at the Theater Pforzheim, under Gregory Darcy in Esslingen and in "Echogedicht", a production by Tiago Manquinho in Braunschweig . In 2020 she led the inclusive dance workshop "Triple A" at the Landesbühnen Sachsen and could also be seen there in "nussKnacker" and "Difference". Currently she is working in the productions "Balance" at the Kulturhaus Steinfurth, "Drüben" at the Kulturpalast Dresden and at the Projekttheater Dresden for "Fusion 2" under René Rothe. At the same time, Sophie Hauenherm is studying psychology at the Technical University of Dresden.
In the middle of Dresden, nestled in a backyard of the Johannstadt district, you will find the TENZA. Founded as TENZA Schmiede in 1999 by Olaf Becker, Susan Schubert, freelance dance teacher, dramaturge/choreographer and performer, has been running and developing TENZA since 2016 as a social-artistic mediator and as a space for educational institutes, theaters in the city and the local independent scene. As a center for dance and production, TENZA offers dance and movement enthusiasts space. In the two fully equipped dance studios offer a wide range of activities for body and movement. TENZA sees itself as an active co-designer of the cultural cityscape and contributes to cultural education in the city of Dresden.
The TENZA is a production venue and a residence for the performing arts. We want to provide a space in which freelance artists can be experimentally and productively active. And to be a space for the content of cultural
organizations and networks. For example, movement and dance teachers accompany children and young people in creating their own artistic products. Synergies between professionals and and amateurs.
