Episode II

Dedicated to the architect Holm Pinkert (1956-2024)

The 2nd episode invites you on an artistic tour of Dresden Neustadt between Villa Wigman, the Rose Garden and the Waldschlößchen Bridge. A ramble that follows invisible traces of history and stories, that tells of times of prosperity and of what has been buried, and that gives an idea of the complexity of the places through dance and music.

The walk begins at Villa Wigman and leads to selected locations, some of which no longer exist, such as Lincke's Baths, Cosel's Garden and Villa Rosa. The dancer Katja Erfurth, the singer Julia Böhme and the violinist Florian Mayer imagine hidden urban spaces, allowing past and present to enter into a relationship.

Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended!

After studying dance at the Palucca School in Dresden, Katja Erfurth was a member of the ballet ensemble of the Saxon State Opera in Dresden. She has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer since 1997. As chairwoman of the "Villa Wigman für TANZ" association, she is committed to using the former Wigman School as a production venue for the independent performing arts. Together with Julia Amme, Johanna Roggan and Thomas Dumke, she is a member of the villa\wigman management team. In 2020, she received the Art Prize of the City of Dresden.
