Cultural anthropologist and philosopher Elka Tschernokoshewa will present her new book, "The Dancing Human", at villa\wigman—and will share a special story: One chapter is dedicated to Marija Dimova, a Bulgarian dancer and choreographer who studied under Mary Wigman and is considered the founder of expressive dance in Bulgaria.
Through a conversation with the author, supplemented by a short film, connections between Wigman’s legacy, contemporary dance, and the dance traditions of the Balkans become apparent.
