New architectural office
for the villawigman

Following the sudden death of our architect Holm Pinkert in an accident last year, we are delighted to have secured the services of architects Annett Ammon and Patricia Reuß-Thümmler from RKA Architekten to continue the renovation work on and in the villa\wigman. Annett Ammon has already worked as a fire safety expert for the villa\wigman in recent years and is familiar with the historical dance character of the location and its listed building ensemble, both in terms of content and expertise, thanks to Holm Pinkert.

“RKA Architekten's journey began 20 years ago at the TU Dresden. The founding members got to know each other there. We are now a team of 15 architects and supervise a wide range of projects with a focus on the preservation of historical monuments and existing buildings. For us, a respectful approach to existing buildings means not only preserving the old charm, but also a contemporary conversion of existing structures, as well as sensible additions through new construction to revitalize the existing buildings. We develop our design based on the special character of the respective location and the planned use. During implementation, we attach great importance to durable, resource-conserving construction with natural materials, uncomplicated solutions and quality craftsmanship. This results in buildings that can be used and lived in sustainably in a pleasant and natural way, without pushing themselves to the fore. Thanks to our in-house specialists for fire protection, energy consulting, colors, building greenery and timber construction, we can provide holistic support for construction projects. A good working and communication atmosphere and a close exchange with the clients enrich every project.
