in the Great Hall

The renovation of the floor in the Great Hall is reaching its finale. A few days ago, the craftsmen laying the parquet flooring on the sprung dance floor laid down their tools and we are happy to share this wonderful impression of the room! In the coming days and weeks, the paintwork and electrical installations will be completed. The flooring in the heating niches, the doors and the walls are also waiting to be completed. The hall will then be available for artistic work in its new guise.

In the last few weeks, the floor has been rebuilt with the application of the seal, the installation of the heating pipes and the laying of the insulation and underfloor heating. Once the screed has been laid, the sprung dance floor will be installed in June.
The complete refurbishment, including the replacement of the doors according to the original design, will last until July 2025.

1.2025

The next construction phase began at the start of the new year. The floor of the Great Hall is being rebuilt from scratch. First, the old parquet will be carefully demolished, cleaned and stored. In the future, the 200 square meters of oak parquet will find a new use in other rooms of the villa\wigman.

The complete rebuilding of the floor follows thermal insulation and building climate requirements. As in the two small halls, underfloor heating and a sprung dance floor will also be installed.
