In collaboration with the Fonds Darstellende Künste, flausen+ is intensifying cooperation between artistic associations and independent production venues - in both urban and rural areas. The aim is to create synergies and establish partnerships. The focus is not on the result but on artistic experimentation and the practical exploration of concepts. villa\wigman has been part of the network of residences for the flausen+ residencies since 2023.
Funding is provided for open-ended projects such as artistic-experimental laboratories and concept developments for upcoming productions that take place in a residency or in connection with a residency location. Once a year, independent, professionally producing groups of performing artists from all genres and disciplines who are associated with a production house in the flausen+ network can apply.

In cooperation with the TanzNetzDresden association and the partner organisations TanzART Kirschau, Mondstaubtheater Zwickau, TanzRaumGörlitz, Off-Bühne KOMPLEX in Chemnitz, LOFFT and 4fürTANZ Leipzig as well as TENZA schmiede in Dresden, the Villa Wigman für Tanz association is initiating an extensive residency programme from 2022 to 2024 with the "TANZPAKT in residence" programme, which aims to strengthen and develop the artistic quality of dance professionals in Saxony. Making the results of the residencies visible to the public allows those interested in dance in the region to participate in these processes, as well as offering the opportunity to invite future supra-regional partners in order to promote the ongoing exchange across state borders. In the years 2022-24, a total of 18 residencies were advertised; in addition to the artists' own research work, each residency includes a workshop by the residency artists for interested professionals and amateurs and a workshop presentation.
