June 15, 7-8 p.m.
Within the residency, Mandy Unger works on an analysis of RAVE as a physical experience. She is dedicated to the examination of musical structures and how they can be modified and interpreted with the body. Concepts and explored physical modes are primarily inspired by sub and club culture, such as bounce; rave; footwork; jacking; lofting; BodyRock; timing (4tofloor, TickingTime); impact & stops; limitation. The aim of the residency will be to work out characteristic modules to make them applicable for choreographic processes in the future.

In this workshop, participants will be encouraged to creatively use new and their own movement patterns by playing with musical structures, groove and improvisation.

Performance: Rave:Turnaround - Study | June 15, 7-8 p.m.
The celebratory mood of reunification was preserved in underground raves, especially in Berlin, and fears of the future were allowed to be postponed. This dance study will focus on the tense atmosphere of the East German transformation process of the 1990s.
Admission free
Workshop and performance take place in the context of the Zukunftsvisionen Festival.
Mandy Unger aka. M.over works as a choreographer, dancer, networker and DJ. In 2019 she founded the M.over Company in Leipzig and since 2020 has received grants from Theaterverband Thüringen; Kulturstiftung Sachsen, Dachverband Tanz (DisTanzen); Take Aktion and Take Heart (Fonds DaKu), among others. Her stage productions are a conglomerate of pop and contemporary art. As a dancer Mandy works with the Foundation from Floorwork, Contemporary Dance and Social Dances (Hip Hop Freestyle, Experimental and House). She danced among others at the Tanztheater Erfurt (Ester Ambrosino), at goPlastic Company (Cindy Hammer), at Bounce urban! (Andrea von Gundten) and choreographed productions for stellwerk Theater Weimar, Grüner Salon Berlin (Volksbühne), Theater Natur Festival (Benneckenstein, Harz), Lofft Theater Werkstatt e.V., Projekttheater Dresden, Theater Bernburg a.o. She also leads the dance department at the youth cultural center HEIZHAUS aka. urban souls e.V. together with Laura Wilmer and is project coordinator for the integrative project KOMET, which promotes dance offerings in rural regions of Saxony.
For over a decade, there have been successful initiatives and projects of contemporary art in Görlitz. To better coordinate this commitment and to bundle forces, the association NEISSE CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY ARTS e.V. was founded in 2019. The non-profit association has 15 members so far, who have set themselves the goal of promoting contemporary art in Görlitz and the region and to build structures for this.
The association is particularly active in the fields of visual and performing arts through the projects TanzRaumGörlitz, Zukunftsvisionen and Kulturheim Leipziger Straße. Since 2021, intensive work has been done on the project "Kunsthalle Görlitz", which aims to establish a permanent venue for contemporary art of all disciplines in Görlitz and to network the individual actors and projects with each other.
The individual projects complement and support each other in terms of content through mutual cooperation in order to pursue the goals of the association. In addition, great importance is attached to the region in the border triangle. We want to understand the region without borders and not mark out the horizon at the Neisse or the Zittau Mountains. A development of contemporary arts in the region means cross-border networking and cooperation with actors in the Czech Republic and Poland. The projects of the NCCA e.V. are the drivers and vehicles of this vision.
