Nicole Dietz

Nicole Dietz is a theater pedagogue, dramaturge and director. She accompanies, develops and initiates plays for young audiences, among others with the GUTS Tanz Company Dresden, in the context of explore dance and at the young theater Paderborn. Together with a contemporary puppeteer, she is artistically-practically researching new narratives beyond normed femininity in the context of a flausen scholarship in June, following Donna Harraway's thoughts on science fiction, cyborgs, feminism & community. Stations of her work were the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the THEATER AN DER PARKAUE - Junges Staatstheater Berlin. She realized artistic projects with young people at the Landestheater Linz and worked in theater and dance mediation at the Oldenburg State Theater, where she supervised and mediated, among other things, the plays of the contemporary dance section. From 2019 until the end of the 2021/22 season, she was engaged as a theater pedagogue at the tjg. theater junge generation (Dresden) in the theater academy. From 2013 to 2019, she was employed as a theater pedagogue and dramaturge at the Junges Schauspielhaus Hamburg. The focus of her work at the tjg. was participatory work processes with laypeople and the mediation of dance and contemporary performance theater. She conducts artistic-performative research with children and young people on the topics of feminism, power structures and love and develops and accompanies artistic encounter formats.

The Mondstaubtheater is a free amateur theater with a focus on performing arts, socio-culture and cultural education with children, youth and adults. The goal is to enable people of all generations to play on stage and to encourage them to find individual forms of expression. The focus is primarily on courses for children and young people. It is important to the team of the Mondstaubtheater to introduce children and young people to the work in the theater and on stage, to convey important basics in training and presentations in the performing area. The special thing about this independent amateur theater is that it is located in an old industrial building. Because of the location, there is a direct connection to the city's history, which can be an important aspect in self- perception and the perception of others. The city of Zwickau is also a small town, albeit the fourth largest city in Saxony.
