SOLO² x Tanz+Blau+Gelb

SOLO² x Tanz+Blau+Gelb offers insights into different perspectives, work approaches and aesthetics of independent dance and theatre professionals. Creative artists from the regions and Ukraine will receive a platform at this one-time occasion. 5-15 minutes short pieces, which address questions of our time with liveliness, doubt, experimental desire, humour, silence, rawness and thoughtfulness in their unique ways, will take place every 15 minutes in the large hall at villa\wigman. The audience is invited to explore the space of villa\wigman with curiosity, experience interesting artistic confrontations and observe, listen or participate in conversations at will.

»SOLO² x Tanz+Blau+Gelb Gala« is a cooperation event of Praetorian Non-Profit Art & Health Consulting and the association Villa Wigman fir Dance e.V. with the intention to support artists with public shows that fled from the war of the Russian Federation.

Supported through funds from the culture fund Saxony-Ukraine of the cultural federation of the Free State of Saxony. This action is co-financed through taxes based on the budget that was decided on by the Landtag of Saxony.

The event is supported within „Bleibt neugierig. Kulturstadt Dresden 2022“. From July to December 2022, „Bleibt neugierig. Kulturstadt Dresden 2022“ offers a city-wide stage to independent initiatives and cultural institutions for additional ideas and projects. From Gorbitz to Striesen, from Pieschen to Laubegast, from dance, theatre and music to exhibitions, workshops and hands-on activities. The audience - young and old - can expect diverse encounters, fun and impulses at unusual places, open air or at theatre halls. „Bleibt neugierig. Kulturstadt Dresden 2022“ is part of the special program „Kulturland 2022. Sachsen als Bühne“.
