TANZPAKT in residence is a cooperation between villa\wigman and TanzNetzDresden and realized a comprehensive residency program for Saxony in the years 2022-24. The residency program sees itself as a fundamental instrument to promote artists into excellence by providing time spaces for research and creating sustainable structures that enable the dance scene in Saxony to work professionally and continuously. In addition, the structural needs of the residencies, which are located in both urban and rural areas, were taken into account in order to help dance gain more visibility and relevance throughout the entire state of Saxony.

The TANZPAKT in residence.re- preview event is a meeting of all TANZPAKT in residence artists and residencies with short presentations of their work and profile. In addition, we would like to develop a vision for strengthening the independent performing arts in Saxony together with cultural policy and administration as well as nationwide cooperation partners, sponsors and interested experts.
