Dear friends, neighbors, and supporters of villa\wigman, and to all art and culture enthusiasts,

we cordially invite you to the premiere of KÖRPER UNTER DRUCK. A Different Wind will take place on October 4, 2026, at villa\wigman: Amit Abend (dance), Svea Duwe (spatial installation & performative costumes), and Rosa Klee (voice & composition) form an interdisciplinary core team that will develop scenarios in various rooms of villa\wigman –

on the question of how political change affects artistic production. They are supported by Ralf Nowak (set builder), Marco Prill (videography/projection), and Sara Scarella (dance).

In the process, stone itself becomes a body under pressure: its weight, its texture, and its temperature alter the way we move and feel. The transformation of political conditions manifests itself in architecture, the body, and clothing – and quietly, steadily reshapes our social interactions.

Public Presentation:
“More Musicals, Please”

As part of her residency with the Performing Arts Fund, Angelika Waniek will present the results of her research at villa\wigman on October 9. Together with Hermann Heisig, Gerda Knoche, Anna Zacho Søgaard, and Sebastian Weber, she explores concepts such as gravity, balance, and weight in “Mehr Musical, bitte”—navigating the spectrum between meticulous planning and absolute unpredictability.

The underlying question: Can lightness in artistic work be an act of resistance?
