In the face of the everyday life of the state of crisis, charged political rhetoric, and deep social divides, the guts company searches in Macht #3 - Hoffnung for collective utopias of interconnectedness, individual hopes, and shared departures. What does it take to still have "a spark of hope" and how can we hope together? Five performers explore different states of hope, always in search for connection and resonance - with the space, the audience and their own actions.
Supported through means of the performing arts, the guts company conceives, realizes and develops classical stage productions, open presentation formats, installations, site-specific works, discourse formats and public laboratory situations. Their working practice of co-authorship with other arts and sciences makes genre boundaries obsolete. In addition to a constant examination of social topics, ruins and motivations, utopias and visions of possible togetherness or the human urge to survive, the company wants to address the physical and emotional center of the audience. With a work focus on Dresden, the guts company works regionally, nationally and internationally.
